  • Fix the glitches

    For one, if I watch the commercial, and zoned out and missed what it said when it came back, I shouldn’t hit go back and have to watch another minute and a half of commercials, I have add, something boring is on, doesn’t mean I’m paying attention when my show comes back, Tubi is completely free and if I watch the commercials, (and it can be 3 commercials back) I can rewind an hour and I don’t have to watch the adds I did before, but seriously the GLITCH where if I hit the wrong show, go back to menu, it keeps playing the audio of the other show and then I have to restart my AppleTV again to get it to stop, and I seen someone complain about this a year ago on here, just tested it a few minutes ago, I had it up to the audio of 5 shows while another was playing, (played diff shows, some were still in commercials so I could tell the difference), your glitch is that bad a year later, and for the people that are saying we should upgrade for no commercials, first I said Tubi is free and their commercial and playback feature is better and the main thing atm is a lot of us can’t upgrade since we get it with the Disney+ and/or the ESPN bundle, (but why should we have to pay more for it to improve?) please fix your app
  • Poor Convenience?

    I binge a lot of the shows I watch, and I pay to have no commercials, and yet there’s so many annoying bugs that really make it hard to conveniently use this app, the most prevalent one being that there used to be a widget that would allow you to watch your show as you scrolled/used other apps in your phone, and then suddenly it just disappeared? Without an update, just stopped being able to do that. Really irritating, yet I find that if I have my phone connected to my aux in my car and I pull up the gps while leaving the show running, the audio will continue to play soooo??? Another HORRIBLY ANNOYING thing is when the next episode automatically plays, it will just REPLAY THE SAME EPISODE I WAS JUST WATCHING. And more than half the time, if you press ‘next episode’, it will replay the same episode again anyways. Sometimes the next episode button isn’t there, and I have to restart the app, then go into the series details, scroll to the episode I was on and click the next one manually. This isn’t a rare occurrence, it’s every other episode. Please fix this, I’m going to stop paying so much per month if these simple conveniences aren’t addressed 😞
  • Make it easier to switch plans!

    as a new user i of course decided to go with the cheaper plan to “try it out”. i haven’t even gotten thru the first episode of the show i was dying to watch and i’m already so over all of these ads! the option to upgrade isn’t even on the app.. i had to go log in on the web which again requires way more clicks than necessary.. although after reading reviews i guess it’s a good thing it’s not so easy because apparently you have to wait until your current subscription is cancelled which completes a month later!??? OMG! you’d think you would want to make your new subscribers experience the best.. again you should make it easier to upgrade or start everyone out with the BEST plan first.. and then give them the option to switch once the free trial ends.. just saying.. i don’t plan to cancel right away.. i guess i’ll leave it on during the free trial and use the app if i’m that desperate to watch an episode i’m willing to sit thru the same ads over and over every few minutes while trying to get thru an episode. best believe my subscription will be cancelled as soon as the trial is up! so disappointing! ugh!
  • It’s great but there’s one thing

    My episodes keep on skipping and the up next thing keeps on coming up too soon. Like if it says it has this certain amount of time left it could be three seconds or 289 seconds and sometimes it ends too soon. It’s quite annoying. Also the ads always pop up, like after the episode ends it plays an ad and then I have to wait for my episode. I home you can fix these bugs on tv and on my phone.😇😇😇😇😇but still highly recommend Edit: also I looked through some other reviews and there was one that said that you could just pay but what if your trying to save your money. Like I don’t want to pay money that I will probably need in the future just to get rid of some ads. They also said that there only 3 ad breaks. There is way more than three and if there is than it takes forever for them to end. So pls just consider some other views and pls fix the problems bc this could be so perfect if you did
  • Never ending issues

    You would think for app with this many subscribers and this high of a subscription rate (for the live tv) the least they could do is make an app that works. The app has near constant glitches. It often plays the audio of one show while a completely different show plays. It never remembers where you left off in a show so you have to watch the same commercial breaks again. It freezes, it crashes. It has the worst UI. You can’t set shows that you’ve recorded to automatically delete after you’ve watched them so you have to do it manually. Even when you record shows, you can only fast forward through the commercials maybe 25% of the time. One show I record never records the whole episode. Even after I delete it, it stays this way. Then miraculously, after a week, the full episode appears. Seems like this app is perpetually a year behind it’s competitors. I really hope someone reads this and looks into all these perpetual issues, but I’m not holding my breath. Get it together. You owe your paying customers more than this.
  • Commercials and streaming service

    So, for the commercials I don’t mind watching. However if you want to rewind to watch a scene before the commercials break you have to watch 3 minutes of commercials (1 min when you first pass through, 1 min when you rewind, and another minute when you pass through again). It’s kind of annoying that it does that and doesn’t save that you already watched the ad breaks like other video streaming platforms. In addition, I get a lot of problems with the streaming service. Like the episodes won’t load and it tells me to come back later or refresh. I know it’s not my internet because we just upgraded it to a faster speed and out of all the apps on my phone and TV this is the only one that needs to be refreshed. Lastly, episodes. Episodes on phones can only be watched two at a time. Then you have to go to the series list for the next two episodes, which is inconvenient because of the loading issue mentioned above. I love the shows on this app, but really not worth all the bugs and issues.
  • Could be way better

    At first I loved this app then after using it for a awhile I found all the glitches. The time it takes to download a movie and all the buffering makes it difficult to even watch a show or a movie. I pay the extra for no commercials but by the time it buffers 25 times through the movie or show.... I give up. It never used to do this so much but now it’s all the time. I go to the other competition movie app and it doesn’t do it on that app so I know it’s not my internet. Did you get rid of someone that knew what they were doing tech wise??? Also they used to change the movie choices more often and have newer movies, even better that the competition, but now the movies are always the same and all OLD movies and horror film it’s boring and sickening. There used to be more choices, what about PBS, what about getting up to date history channel. I’d like to see some historical dramas and movies!! I pay my fee each month and I’m barely getting good use out of the app. I Really think I’ll discontinue my subscription.
  • Buffering, Glitches, Selection or Movies and Shows, and ADSS

    Buffering and Glitches• The app has a nice selection of shows and tv shows. But it buffers and glitches A LOT!!! This makes it hard and annoying to watch stuff. It took me 20 minutes to get a movie started. I had to constantly restart the app and exit in and out of the app; to stop the glitches. I’ve checked my WiFi and it works perfectly. You would think with the updates it has they would have already fixed the constant buffering, loading, and glitches. It gets to the point where I can’t, don’t, or want to even bother to use the app. Selection of Movies and Shows• Another problem which isn’t that big is the selection of Movies and Shows. Don’t get me wrong it has an “okay” selection but they don’t update it that much. They don’t have much of the movies or shows I’m looking for. A lot of the shows they have aren’t that popular. I find it hard to not rewatch most of the same stuff. I’ve had this app for a year now and have watched mostly everything I’m interested in. Commercials• The commercials and constant ads in the app make me go CRAZY. There are so many commercials. I just want to watch something without commercials every 10-15 minutes. With all this I recommend Netflix or another app to watch stuff. But if you are looking for a specific show that is anti popular this app probably has it. The app has issues where it gets to the point you don’t want to use it.
  • Great Content. Terrible layout.

    I love the shows on this platform. But I run in to so many problems with quickly starting where I left off after my previous view sessions. It takes me a minute or two to get back to the episode I was watching, WHICH IS A PROBLEM I DONT INTO WITH ANY OTHER PLATFORMS. Very disappointed with the customer inference & the interaction I have had with it so far. The way the system works causes strain which SHOULD NOT BE HAPPENING. I am a very tech savvy person too. But this app makes it 10x more strenuous to operate. Using this app opposed to others is a terrible experience.. The only reason I continue paying for this is because the content is great. I am very disappointed with the customer interface being a new customer. Its 2020, hope you know how to fix it. Sheesh. I’ll be sure to be talking to my friend about this too. Hopefully they get this fixed up soon. Lots of potential. Terrible platform performance so far. Don’t even get me started when I get gypped by watching 2 long adds in a row. 👎👎👎👎👎👎👎

    It freezes up all the time usually at an exciting scene. Starts over or says sorry we are having trouble playing this right now! Super frustrating come on guys you having a new update it seems every few days or weeks can’t we get a version where this crap doesn’t happen?

    Every time I try to watch a show on my phone it tells me to “manage my subscription” when I already pay full price. On top of that whenever I tell email them about it they do nothing, such a scam 🙄
  • Extremely buggy trying to cast to TV or Chrome Cast

    Hulu has a great selection of shows and movies with a standard, easy to navigate interface for a streaming platform. But I’m giving a two star review due to the casting feature being extremely buggy. It will often disconnect and reconnect, playing a completely different episode. Opening the app will also disconnect/interrupt the cast. Hulu is a great streaming service, but unfortunately if you are casting from a mobile device the bugs can be irritating.
  • Can't watch hulu on my iPad all of a sudden

    Every time I try to watch hulu on my iPad it keeps saying it needs to be updated however there's no update available when I go in the App Store! I've had the same iPad 2 for years including hulu and this is the first run in and very disappointing so please fix this as my grandson also wants to be able to look at hulu again on the iPad especially when we are not home.
  • Deleting Downloaded content

    It’s deleted my downloaded episodes 3 times now. I don’t know what to do and there doesn’t seem to be a fix. I’ll download episodes then I come back to the app later and they’re all gone. I’ve been off the grid and I need these TV episodes to be available offline. Thus my 1* review, unusable.

    So just want to add this as I saw the first review on the App Store going off on the people that complain about ads and say how there are no bugs because they don’t have any. First don’t be so dense you can’t see how many commercials Hulu has unless you sub so don’t get on people cause it was them that subbed. Second not everyone has the exact same commercial breaks. Someone might have more or less but the breaks could also be longer or shorter. Third not everyone has the same device as you, operating system (iOS) as you so people will have different issues and actually experience bugs that you don’t ever see. You also say they are doing their best for us there is not a single developer response on any review asking them to report their issues so yeah definitely doing their best for us. Again don’t be so dense. Was looking for a movie to watch today and found vanguard. Decided to watch the trailer and it’s obviously a foreign film but the trailer was in English. Liked what I saw and started to watch the movie. Problem is the movie is in Chinese and there are no other options. Please don’t show English trailers then don’t give us the option when we watch the actual movie. So started watching cutthroat kitchen today again and watched an episode and it has the circle at the bottom that shows it’s gonna go to the next episode. What happens I get a commercial then another commercial at the next episode and when it starts playing it’s the same episode. This is the first time this has ever happened and it has been happening each episode. Honest question but is Hulu run by 3 year olds? The joy of my never ending saga continues with this app. So now I’m going down the movie section again and I see a movie and click on it and sometimes I watch the trailer other times I don’t and when I exit out the list shuffles all the movies around so I have to go all the way to the top of the list again and try to find where the movies I haven’t seen yet start again. For a streaming service it is such a chore to try and find something to watch and it should be the complete opposite. I would love to have a job and do literally nothing and get paid for it. Now I’m experiencing the app constantly crashing and it’s great cause it always happens while watching ads so I’m stuck in an ad loop so Hulu gets endless money. Hulu I don’t know how to really describe it but I just don’t understand a lot of the problems I have just seem like they shouldn’t be rocket science but turn out to be in Hulu’s case they are. So I select a type of movie let’s say action and it shows me maybe 6 or more movies and when I get to the end I hit the button that says show more movies does it take you to more movies in the category you are searching in like you would think it would no it doesn’t it takes you to a section called for you and then you need to find that same section again and do it all over again. It just blows my mind cause this is so simple like if you go to the store and look at cereal then get to the end of the isle and go I want to see more but are then transported to cleaning supplies in the store and have to go all the way back. I might understand this if Hulu was small and starting out but Hulu has been around for a long time. Wanted to update how sick I am of ads. Hulu is a streaming service so it blows my mind how I’m watching an episode of a show goes to commercial and after a few seconds of the show coming back I stop watching cause I’m going to work or bed or what not. Now 3 times I have started to watch that same episode and all 3 times I have had to watch commercials again to get to the part right after watching commercials. I get Hulu for free from sprint and even free this is too much. If this was the free version of Hulu that they got rid of cause like so many people are just flat out greedy and all they care about is money and not their customers then I would be more understanding but to charge people what they do and act like this is insane. So like others have mentioned I have issues with commercials where if I go between iPad and my phone I will have to rewatch commercials cause it doesn’t keep my place on a streaming service which is kinda funny and interesting how that works. Also I don’t know who the genius is that works for Hulu and have had this same issue with prime video but it can’t really be that hard but apparently it is, don’t show season finales or go to into detail in your ads. I am watching master chef and now know that when I get to a season with an African American female I now know who wins that season. I guess people aren’t born with common sense anymore or they just don’t seem to care what they are watching gets spoiled for them. So glad I get this thru sprint and don’t have to pay for this garbage.

    App used to be pretty good but has gone down hill the past couple of years. Never stays connected, never holds last play location and most content can be found for free. I’m not going to mention the constant commercials even when rewinding-or skipping.
